It's a Samsung Galaxy Class smartphone, A small Galaxy S3 !...
By Alex
Hello, I bought this phone for $99. I also bought a car charger $5, A Hybrid Mesh Hard/Soft Case Cover for $7.50(ebay), and a (Class 10)64-gigabyte Micro SD card for $20(ebay), A Panasonic RPHJE120K In-Ear Headphone ear-buds for $6(ebay), and a stylus for $1 on eBay. My total investment on this phone is $138.50 It was well worth it!....The phone works good and I saved allot of money by buying this phone. This is the BEST VALUE I found on a NEW, Android Jellybean Smartphone from any Manufacturer, Carrier, and Service plan.
I use a Virgin Mobile Unlimited(Text and Internet) Service plan for $35 a month and a Skype Unlimited talk service plan for $3 a month. My total monthly phone bill is only $38 for Unlimited everything ( Internet, text, talk ). No Contract, No Credit Check, No deposit required. Just pay month to month as need. Must pay each month in advanced. You can pay by credit card, bank debit card, paypal, or you can purchase a Virgin Mobile pay as you go $35 Top-Up card at Walmart for Cash, Check, or Money Order, etc.
This is a Samsung Galaxy Class smartphone with all the bells and whistles. Not exactly the same as an S3 or S4 but close enough. What this phone does not have is NFC and an IR blaster so you can not use this phone as a remote for your TV, Other than that it is basically a small Galaxy S3. You can watch movies, videos, play music, internet radio, surf the internet, etc. No need to buy and iPhone and iPod this can replace both. With 64gb. storage option in the SD card. This phone has a 4-inch Screen Display the same size as the iPhone-5, The Galaxy S3 and S4 have a 5-inch screen display.
One draw back this phone has is that it only has 2-gigabyte of storage for Android Apps so you will only be able to have installed about 100 apps at one time.
Pictures, files, videos, movies and music MP3 can be saved to the optional external micro sd card.
This Galaxy Ring phone has a 5 megapixel rear camera with a 4x digital zoom. and an automatic built in flash option.
It comes with a micro usb to usb cable so you can plug this into your PC, Mac or Linux computer. So you can transfer pictures, documents, music, files, videos, etc.
I suggest you buy a micro SD card so you can save all your files on this card.
You can add a 4,8,16,32,or 64 gigabyte micro sd card to this phone. The micro sd card is used to store files on so the files will not take up all the space on your phones memory.
The Difference between Galaxy Ring and Galaxy S3 or S4 ?
The major differences between the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy S3 or S4 or these.
1) The Galaxy Ring has a 4-inch screen display ( the same size as an Apple iPhone ).
The Galaxy S3 and S4 have a 5-inch screen display.
2) No NFC on the Galaxy Ring, And No Burst mode picture taking.
3) Galaxy Ring runs Android Jelly Bean version 4.1
Galaxy S3 and S4 run Android Jelly bean version 4.2
4) Galaxy S3 and S4 have a little bit longer battery life.
5) No IR blaster on Galaxy Ring so It can not be used as a remote control for your
TV or Home AV Audio receiver.
6) No Sim card slot on the Galaxy Ring. It uses a Serial Number to activate the phone.
7) Galaxy ring can not be Unlocked to my knowledge. It uses Virgin Mobile CDMA Sprint nation wide network. T-Mobile and ATT use GSM on their Nation wide networks. They are not compatible. The Galaxy Ring will only work on the Sprint or Virgin Mobile service plan.
8) The Galaxy S3 and S4 have Quad core processors. The Galaxy Ring has a single core processor. But the Galaxy Ring works fine for everyday task including watching movies and listening to music, YouTube, Pandora, Netflix etc. All work fine on the Galaxy Ring via Wifi. May run slow via cellular due to your coverage and signal strength.
All these Galaxy phones use the same Android apps, and Samsung Apps. The Galaxy Ring phone also has some Virgin Mobile Apps.
Other than that the Galaxy Ring can do everything the Galaxy S3 and S4 can do.
WiFi, Internet, GPS, A-GPS, Sync, Bluetooth, Screen lock, Screen Rotation, 64gb. Micro SD card option, Google Now, Google Voice search, Voice to text messaging, Google Chat, Maps, Sky Maps, Calendar, MS Office 365, Yahoo messenger, Facebook, instagram, etc.
This phone has built in WiFi for home and business networks( 802.11 a,b,g,n ), Bluetooth v4, GPS ( A-GPS ), Sync, Screen Rotation Lock, Lock Screen, Encryption, and Password protection ).
Apps that work on this phone are from Google play store and Samsung apps store, and Virgin Mobile apps. This phone uses Android Jellybean Version 4.1
( MS-office, Adobe, Printer apps, YouTube, Pandora, iHeart radio, MP3, MPEG video, Adobe Flash, Google Voice, Google now, Google Chat, Talk, Voice recorder, Voice search, Yahoo email, Yahoo messenger, Hotmail, Outlook email, Record and Watch AT&T-Uverse Cable movies and programs, Skype, Amazon, Windows live, Music equalizer, Netflix, Google maps, Google earth, eBay, Google drive, Google sky maps, trains and Bus routes and schedules, Epson print, HP print, Kodak print, McAfee anti virus, Bar Code scanner, QR Scanner, CHP, Sheriffs, Police and Fire radio scanner, Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Library, Movies Theaters, Museums, Air lines, Cruise Ships, US Parks, Local City, State, Government, Federal, International, United Nations, etc. Too many apps to list literally thousands of Apps available for this phone. "Many are FREE !"......
So far I have invested $138.50 into this phone and it has turn out to be a good investment so far. It's a good phone if your on a budget, or what to give it to a teen, or it's your first phone. But definitely buy the Hybrid Mesh Hard/Soft Case Cover for $7.50 and leave the original protective plastic screen film on the phone when you unbox it. This will protect your phones screen.
Activation is easy just turn on the phone and dial 611 or the number given. Then Give your phones serial number and your good. This phone does not have a SIM slot or card. This phone can not be Unlocked, It uses the Sprint Nation Wide Network and CDMA data transmission network, ATT and T-Mobile use GSM data transmission network. They are not compatible and this phone will not work on any other carrier other than Sprint or Virgin Mobile service plans. But once you activate this phone you can call any phone in the US on any carrier including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and Home and business hard wire telephone networks.
This phone uses the Sprint nation wide network which is not available in all states so check for coverage in your area before you buy. I live in California, San Francisco bay area and the phone works fine here.

Just a friendly reminder, this is not a computer, it is a cell phone
By Benjamin J. Rosenfeld
As the title states, this is not a computer. Due to the state of current technologies, a device of such a size is limited in its capabilities.
What you can expect:
The length of time in which the battery can go without needing to be recharged will vary based on how you use your phone.
* If you use it strictly for phone calls and nothing more, you will experience longer battery life.
* If you use it for entertainment purposes (e.g. games, videos, internet), the life of the battery will be significantly shorter.
Why? Because you are using it as though it were a computer. Such activities require greater processing power which, in turn, requires more battery power. In other words, the more the processor has to work, the more power it needs.
I am 30 and I have witnessed the evolution of the cell phone. If you are 15 and you complain about battery life while using the phone as if it were a computer, you are wasting your breath. You cannot play games or watch videos or browse your favorite websites with the expectation of having to plug your phone in only once every 24 hours. I'm sorry, but mobile phone technology has not yet advanced to such a point where it can run on a 4Ghz CPU and a 1Ghz GPU with 3Gb of dedicated graphics memory and 32 gigs of system RAM for a duration of no less than 8 hours on a single charge. If that's what you want, you may have to wait a decade or so for it. And by the time that comes around, you'll complain, because you were expecting more.
You may need to be reminded that only ten years ago, Snake was one of the most popular games for mobile devices.
What you cannot expect:
The performance of a PC in the palm of your hand.
---
With that, and having one of these phones, my phone, charging not 5 feet from me, I would recommend this phone to others. I enjoy it and would definitely recommend it over the phone I had ten years ago.
I can only give it four stars out of five, because, even when rooted and with FolderMount running, I am still not yet able to move apps to the "external" SD card. Samsung has seemingly not permitted it as a feature in the stock OS and, even when rooted, it recognizes the internal user storage mounted as the SD card with the actual card being mounted as "extSdCard". The seemingly complete lack of App2SD functionality is my biggest complaint.
